Saturday, November 4th, Hutchinson High School band, orchestra and choir students traveled to Goddard to audition for the South Central Kansas Music Educators Association (SCKMEA) Honors Groups. Of the 57 students that auditioned, 23 have been selected for Honors Groups.

Hutchinson High School belongs to the South Central District of the Kansas Music Educators Association. The SCKMEA All District Mini-Convention will be held on December 2nd, in the city of Maize with students from the other member schools from Rice, McPherson, Marion, Reno, Harvey, Kingman, Sedgwick, Butler, Harper, Sumner and Cowley counties. Band and Orchestra performances will be held at Maize High School. Choir will perform at Maize South High School.
