Justin Villmer, a dedicated accounting professional and educator, has spent the last decade shaping the future of higher education. As a graduate of Haven High School (go wildcats!), Villmer earned his Associate Degree from Hutchinson Community College and both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Accountancy from Emporia State University.
Justin's professional experience has been primarily focused in financial leadership roles across Kansas at Hutchinson Community College, Washburn Tech, and Colby Community College. Most recently Justin vacated his role of President at Dawson Community College in Glendive, Montana to take on the role of Director of Finance/CFO for USD 308 - Hutchinson Public Schools. Throughout his career in academia, Villmer has demonstrated a strong commitment to mentoring students and enhancing educational practices.
Mr. Villmer's return to the Hutchinson area is motivated by both personal and professional reasons. In addition to his professional achievements, Villmer is deeply devoted to his family. Following the recent passing of his mother, Villmer has relocated to be closer to both his father and extended family. With him, Villmer brings his wife Jessica of 13 years and his six children ranging in age from 4 to 12 years old. His dedication to his family and community underscores his values and commitment to nurturing both personal and professional growth.
Villmer looks forward to dipping his toes into the K-12 education system, confident his past experiences in higher education will support him well. He is excited for a new opportunity pursuing his lifelong passion of education. Let's go Salthawks!
He joined the Salthawk team officially July 1, 2024.
