The USD 308 Board of Education heard a performance from the Hutchinson High School choir during the new Program Highlight segment on Monday (September 27, 2021).
The Hutchinson High School Choir is the first club or organization to be recognized during the new recurring Program Highlight segment at BOE meetings. The segment will take place during the second BOE meeting of each month, and will feature students and staff showing off their talents to highlight the innovative and esteemed programs throughout USD 308.
The choir performed two songs, both showing the range and talent of the group. The first song had a slow melody that filled the room. The final song involved the choir moving about the room and interacting with the audience - ending with smiles and applause from everyone in attendance!
Upcoming organizations and clubs to be highlighted include elementary art, SkillsUSA, theater, business clubs, Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG), and more!
The next scheduled Board of Education meeting is Monday, October 11, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Middle School - 8 located at 200 W 14th Avenue, Hutchinson, KS.
