Our Mission

The mission of Morgan Elementary School is to create opportunities to achieve academic, personal and social growth in a challenging, supportive environment. The collaboration of the community, teachers and parents will empower each student to become a life-long learner.

About Morgan Elementary

Morgan School was built in 1948 on 8.5 acres of ground in the northwest portion of Hutchinson. The building currently houses two or three sections of each grade, first through sixth. Two classrooms are used for three sections of kindergarten. The school has a music room, gifted education classroom, special education interrelated classroom, library, counselor's office, health room and one classroom is used for speech and language classes. The multipurpose room is used for physical education, food service and school assemblies.

The Morgan PTO is actively involved in supporting education at their school. More than 200 parents volunteer their time for a variety of tasks. Parents volunteer to assist with enrollment, picture taking, the book fair, serve as aides in the library, serve as room mothers for holiday parties and publish the annual school directory.

The PTO's commitment to fund raising through projects such as carnivals, food sales and pictures has raised enough money to purchase playground equipment, computers for the classroom, TV and VCR for each classroom and donate funds to each classroom to support supplemental materials.

Morgan is USD 308's largest elementary school with about 520 students.
