How Do I Apply?

All applications must be completed in person.

To complete the application you must bring birth verification (birth certificate, hospital certificate, or medical card) and proof of income for the last calendar year or the previous 12 months (tax statement, paycheck stubs, and documentation or child support, alimony unemployment, cash assistance, SSI, etc.).

Eligibility

Prenatal women and children birth to 3 years old are eligible for Early Head Start Services
Head Start children must be 3 or 4 years old
Families must live within Reno County
Families must meet Federal Income Guidelines

Children are selected according to needs, not on a first come, first served basis.

There are execptions to the income guidelines listed above.  If you receive TANF or Supplement Securtiy Income, are over the income guidelines listed above, or are homeless according to the McKinney Vento Act, you may still be eligible for services.

All services are provided at no cost to families.
