Five HHS students honored in Scholastic Arts

Scholastic Art AwardTwo seniors and three juniors at Hutchinson High School had entries accepted into the annual Eastern Kansas Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition.

HHS students had five pieces receive the Silver Key and five pieces receive Honorable Mention awards. Winners are below.

In all, HHS submitted 20 pieces for the exhibition of which 10 received awards.

The student work will be displayed during the annual show, which opens Feb. 2 and runs through March 10 at the new Mark Arts Education Center at 1307 N. Rock Road in Wichita.

Note: Gold Key is first place; Silver Key is second place; and Honorable Mention is third place.

The show will have an opening exhibition from 6 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 2. The gold Key and Cash Awards Ceremony conclude the exhibition at 3 p.m. March 10.

Mark Arts is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
