New York-based actor schools HHS thespians for Macbeth

Dion Graham works with HHS thespians.As the Hutchinson High School Drama Department prepares the production Macbeth this winter, students will receive additional coaching for the play.

Today and Tuesday, New York actor, Dion Graham will work with HHS students on the language of Macbeth.

As an actor, Graham has performed on Broadway, off-Broadway, internationally, in films and in several hit television series. He has performed a wide variety of classical and contemporary roles. He has also originated roles in numerous world premieres of works by major playwrights.

An accomplished voiceover, Graham has voiced an array of projects for film and television. He also has been the Bravo network's voice of the Cannes Film Festival. He is also an award winning and Grammy nominated audiobook narrator.

Additionally, the only certified fight choreographer in Kansas, Danette Baker will work with HHS students in the lead-up to the production. Baker teaches at Wichita State University. That training will occur on Saturdays in January.

HHS will present Macbeth at 7:30 p.m. March 8 to 10 in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for students in eighth grade and under. HHS students are $1 with their ID.
