The Hutchinson High School Thespian Troupe will present a classic play for its spring production.
Harvey, written by American playwright Mary Chase and first performed on Broadway in 1944, received a Pulitzer Prize in 1945. The play will be presented at 7:30 p.m. March 2 to 4 in the Hutchinson High School Performing Arts Center, 810 E. 13th Ave.
Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $5 for students eighth grade and under and $1 for HHS students with their student ID.
The play is about Elwood P. Dowd who has an unseen friend named Harvey whom he introduces to everyone. Harvey is a 6-foot-3½ inch tall rabbit. Because of this friend, Dowd’s sister attempts to get him institutionalized. When they arrive at the sanitarium, however, a comedy of errors occurs.
Directed by Tobie Henline, HHS drama teacher, the cast list for the play is below.
