A three-member team from the International Baccalaureate Organization completed an on-site review of Hutchinson High School Monday and Tuesday, meeting with HHS and district officials Tuesday afternoon during the exit process.
IB periodically reviews schools to make sure they meet organizational standards. HHS should receive input back from IB within about two months. The team was very impressed with HHS facilities.
HHS has been an IB school since 2004 after spending two years on preparatory work. It is the farthest west IB school in Kansas and the only Career-related Program in Kansas, adding the CP in 2014.
The IB team met with Superintendent Dr. Shelly Kiblinger, HHS Principal Ronn Roehm, HHS IB Director Todd Ray and Hutchinson Career and Technical Education Director Travis Riebel.
