Families of students at Lincoln Elementary School, 315 East Bigger, will have a chance to learn more about CHAMPS, a program developed by Randy Sprick with Safe and Civil Schools. CHAMPS is used across the district to encourage safe and respectful learning environments.
The first of five nights of the CHAMPS training for parents will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Lincoln. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m., and child care will be provided.
During the five sessions, parents will learn how Lincoln uses CHAMPS and how parents can use the strategies at home as well.
Other sessions will be Jan. 24 and 31 and Feb. 14 and 21. Families are asked to RSVP by calling (620) 615-5100 if they plan to attend.
