Armstrong to lead cross country in 2019-20

Another Salthawk has returned to the flock to coach.

Brooks Armstrong

Brooks Armstrong, a May graduate from Kansas State University, will be the new head coach for Hutchinson High School cross country. A 2015 graduate of HHS, Armstrong is an education major at KSU and already has signed a contract to teach math at Hutch High for the 2019-20 school year.

Armstrong replaces Edgar Gutierrez, who has resigned after two seasons.

Joining Armstrong will be long-time HHS cross country coach Lisa Bonds, who also coached Armstrong during his HHS running career. Bonds, a history teacher at HHS, retired as a cross country coach and track coach but is returning to assist her former runner.
