MA Goals and Objectives

The board will seek to work harmoniously with all educational agencies having an interest in the schools in the district.

MD Inter-district Relations

The board will work cooperatively with other districts to provide services to students when it is in the best interest of students and the districts.

MF  Colleges and Universities

The board may consider the use of student teachers in classes maintained by the district upon conclusion of a written contract with appropriate colleges and universities.

MFB  Student Teachers

The board may enter into written agreements with colleges and universities to place qualified students teacher in district classrooms.  Responsibility for overall supervision of the program is the function of the Human Resources Department.

Building-level administration of the program is the responsibility of the principal.

Student teachers shall follow the rules and regulations pertaining to all employees of the district.  Student teachers shall receive an orientation to the district and their assigned school from their building principal and/or cooperating teacher.

MI State Education Agency Relations: Quality Assurances

The board is committed to school improvement for all schools, academic achievement for all students, and results-based professional development for all district staff members. The board maintains the goal of full accreditation from the State of Kansas and from AdvancEd for the district . Good faith efforts shall be made by all staff to implement district school improvement plans. The board shall monitor compliance. The superintendent will regularly report to the board on the district's progress on student achievement goals.

The board shall fully inform the public in languages commonly used in the community about school improvement plans, the progress of school improvement efforts, the accreditation status of each district school, and other pertinent information as the board may direct.

MK Educational Accreditation Agency Relations

The district shall remain a member of AdvancEd.
